SUMMARY:Public Running Day & Bushfire Appeal
DESCRIPTION:100% of the proceeds from this Public Running Day will be donated to support those affected by recent bushfires. \nIn light of the recent bushfires devastating Victoria and other parts of Australia\, the Box Hill Miniature Steam Railway Society will donate all proceeds from this Public Running Day to the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal.  To make your own donation\, or to find out more about this appeal\, please see the the Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Foundation Donate Now page. \nChildren under 2 years of age ride FREE!  Tickets may be be purchased using either cash or card payments. \nAlcohol is not permitted in the grounds. Train passengers are required to wear fully enclosed footwear\, keep their feet on the footboards\, sit up straight and follow directions given in the interest of safety whilst riding. Use of video cameras on moving trains is not permitted. \nIntending passengers should consider the small gauge of the railway and not ride backwards\, or across two carriages or with a medical condition that affects balance\, or otherwise do any thing that may cause instability to the train. \nBe aware that steam engines are hot\, emit smoke and steam and sometimes cinders\, it is not advisable to wear your Sunday Best! Due to Insurance requirements\, NO open toe shoes\, sandals or thongs are permitted to be worn on our trains. \n
